Description

When I was a little kid, I used to sit on the armrest of my mom and dad’s car. It probably wasn’t the safest idea but even then I just couldn’t stand to be divided from the middle of the conversation so I found my way to the armrest. My dad tells a story of a time I was given a pack of M&M’s and told not to open them until we returned home and I had eaten dinner. Then, and only then, could I partake of the sumptuous snack.  Well, the temptation being too great for a little boy like me, after a time, I ripped into them and began to eat them, sitting right next to my father?! When he asked me how those M&M’s got in my mouth, I was literally caught red handed. I muttered some incoherent excuse about how they just appeared there.  But I knew I was in trouble, the command had been given, the temptation succumbed to and all that’s left was the judgment to follow. On a much grander scale, we learn of a similar story in Joshua 7. On today’s podcast, we will learn of the tragic results of such disobedience and how to overcome it in our own lives.
