Have you ever looked around at all the evil in the world that seems to be prospering and thought to yourself, “what’s the point of serving Jesus if evil seems to be rewarded?” You’re not alone wondering this. In fact, it might surprise you to know that Asaph asked God this in Psalm 73 and Jeremiah asked the same question in Jeremiah 12. Faith is not the absence of doubt, it is the triumph over it. Sometimes that question is more easily answered than at other times. The same question arises here in Malachi 3 and 4, the problem was the people didn’t like the answer they received.
