It's probably one of the most well-known aspects of the Nativity story. Even people who don't know Jesus know the wise men. But just what do we know about these men and the mysterious star they saw? From what we can derive from history, God aligned planets and people in a breathtaking display of foreknowledge, planning, and wisdom to bring these men to this baby, and heaven brought kings to their knees to worship the King of all Kings.
