How important is it to preserve a heritage? Preserving a legacy is not often considered in our current context very often. But we should remember that we are stewards of this moment in time and history will evaluate the quality of that stewardship. In Nehemiah chapter 7, God’s man at this moment is calling his people to preserve the legacy with which they have been entrusted. Protecting a city is about infinitely more than keeping the enemy out, it’s about taking pride in what God has given you, about the miraculous things that He’s done in your midst.
