On the Shop Class Podcast Matt Blomquist gives us a tour of the student built house from the Taylorville (IL) High School Building Trades program. Matt got to relaunch the house building program in 2019 and continued working on the house with a mostly hybrid schedule through the 2020 school year. His students put an emphasis on energy efficiency and quality to bring the program up to tomorrow's standards. The house is down to the final touches before it goes on the market and he's going to show it off with us!! Matt also received the news a couple weeks ago that he is a finalist for the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Award. Good luck to him and all the finalist!!!
