Tonight's guest is Mark Balzarette, he is currently a full-time faculty member of Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey. Mark has a B.A. in Fine Art from Montclair University and an M.A. in Career and Technical Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He also holds an A.A.S. degree in Manufacturing Technology and a certificate in Manufacturing Design. Mark is the primary instructor for BCC’s Manufacturing Technology program and the STEM instructor for Bergen County’s Applied Technology High School. He has been a faculty mentor for BCC’s STEM program electric motorcycle conversion project and built parts for several other STEM club designs. He has worked as a welder, machinist, fabricator and designer at companies involved in the construction of components for Formula I racing, NASA's space shuttle program and the armoring of secure vehicles. Mark was the owner of Blue Sun Customs motorcycle repair. He has worked as a commercial advertising photographer for 20 years with corporate clients such as Tiffany’s, Lockheed Martin, Sony, Bayer, Philips Lighting division, and Banco Popular. He has worked with notable public figures such as Jay Leno, Paula Poundstone, Dr. T. Berry Brazelton and former New Jersey Governor Christine Whitman." He also plays a pretty mean guitar!
