Eric Ellingworth is originally from Redwood Falls, MN and comes from a family of educators with his mom being a long time English teacher and father, who was the superintendent of the Redwood school distinct for 27 years. During high school, he participated in football, basketball, and track and field, where he was All- state his senior year.. After graduation, he attended Augustana University where he competed in football. Eric taught and coached for one year in Sioux Falls, SD and then 3 years at Hastings High School where he taught Civics and coached varsity football, MS track, and 9th grade girls basketball. Eric then became a football grad assistant for three seasons at the University of Florida before working for the New York Jets. For the last four years, Eric has been a college scout for the Dallas Cowboys, where he currently works. Eric brings a unique perspective from coaching sports at the MS level all the way to being part of the NFL and has great insight into the importance of coaches and mentors in one’s life.
