Description

Jeff Taffe is a 1999 Raider graduate. During his time at HHS, he participated in hockey and baseball. In hockey, he was a three time letter winner and lead the team to a 5th place finish during his junior year and a 2nd place finish during his senior year. He was also named Mr. Minnesota  for hockey during his senior year. In baseball, Jeff was a three year letter winner, leading the team to a state title during his senior year. After graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota for three years, where he started for the Gopher hockey team, and lead them to a National Title during his junior year. After college, Jeff had a long professional career lasting 17 years. Throughout that time, he played in Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Minneapolis, and was on the practice squad when the Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2009. Jeff eventually played overseas in Sweden and Russia before retiring.
