This is quite a straight forward episode where I talk about the tiny steps way to write that my book coach, Sam Osbiston, and the leader of the Confident Creative Club, Helen Redfern, introduced me to. It is a way to break big tasks down into small steps that are more manageable and we can trick our brain into making progress towards the end goal.
We might have a wonderful thing to bring to the world but because the end seems so far away we don't start. I have stopped myself in the past for fear of looking stupid, fear of being the fat person who couldn't do something and not wanting to be disappointed by not achieving the goal. I have missed out as a result.
It was Sam's small steps approach that helped me write my book. It was the same when I started the Meeting of Minds podcast. It can help you start a healing journey, or anything else for that matter. Don't focus on the end and what it's going to take to get there, just take tiny steps.
We can't change others but we can change ourselves. We can do better for ourselves. We can honour ourselves. And we can do that by getting started and taking tiny steps.
