Mike Jensen, Professor of Vocal Music at Wartburg College, was an extremely active man in his late-thirties when a tonic-clonic seizure, formerly known as a grand mal seizure, struck out of nowhereโleaving him and his wife, Jennifer, searching for answers. Raising kids, in the midst of a demanding career, and with a high-deductible insurance policy, Mike pushed off the doctorโs visit, and chalked it up to an isolated event.
Months later, the diagnosis of brain cancer seemed absurd when the family received the news. Having the support of their entire community, the Jensen family vowed to never give up, and they planned to defeat the brain cancer. Mike Jensen ultimately lost his battle with brain cancer, and he was called Home on Friday, September 30, 2022, after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.
