Alicia is a China and Cybersecurity aficionado based in Washington D.C. As a technologist, she provides a specialization in analyzing and translating China's emerging cybersecurity infrastructure and their emerging cybersecurity policies. Her unique skills in understanding the Chinese financial fraud market, US economic cybersecurity risks, Chinese social media and new technologies in Asia are used to protect companies and organizations from cyber risks, financial loss and data loss.
She is credited with vast professional experience encompassing work within both public and private sectors including the International Crisis Group, The National Bureau of Asian Research, The U.S.-China Policy Foundation, The US Department of State in China, The United Nations, and International Media. Alicia has been published with the Washington Journal of Modern China, The Hungarian Ministry of Defense, Young Professionals in Foreign Policy and the National Bureau of Asian Research. She received her MA in International and Diplomatic Studies at The University of Economics, Prague and her BA in Economics and Asian Studies at the University of Northern Colorado.
In her spare time, she contributes to The Stanford-New America DigiChina Project and serves as a Carnegie New Leader on Ethics in International Affairs. She speaks Mandarin Chinese, German, Italian, French, Spanish and some Czech.
