Description

When we reach the maintenance phase in our fitness journey this means that we are ‘maintaining’ our current body weight and physique. It is the phase where our caloric intake matches our total daily energy expenditure (TDEE). This phase offers several different benefits and opportunities. For example, we can use the extra energy to chase performance goals or continue building muscle. We can also use this as an opportunity to be a little bit more flexible with our diet and our training. That said, it is not our green light to go off the rails and lose the progress we’ve worked so hard for. Rather, use this time to establish new goals and focus on new opportunities in your training and beyond.
