Description

Gino Battiston. Argentina, 1975. Studies in, film and digital photography, cinematography, directing, dramatic arts, sound engineering and immersive technologies. 20 years of professional experience as an artistic and advertising photographer, director and educator.

Monotypical 1/1 photographic work, takes advantage of optical and chemical resources of analog arts, pursuing the unique and unrepeatable; exhibiting in spaces such as Fine Arts Museum Emiliano Guiñazú, Arg. 2005; ECA Contemporary Arts Space, Arg. 2004; Central Bank of Ecuador, Presley Norton Museum, Quito, Ec.; among others.

As an audiovisual filmmaker and video artist, focused on experimental hybrid forms of documentary, awarded the Marcelino Botín prize, exhibited in spaces such as TRIBECA ARCO 08 (2008); FRI-ART, Centre d'Art Contemporain, Fribourg, Switzerland (2006); Madrid Mirada Exhibition, Fine Arts Circle, Spain; among other international destinations.

His philosophical approach to arts involves various presentations, workshops for professional artists, teenagers and children, in the fields of applied philosophy; including the direction of the permanent forum of Emerging Art, ECA Contemporary Museum of Arts, Arg. 2004; Director and coordinator of the theoretical-practical seminar: Signs of the Latin American Time-Image, ARCIS University, Valparaíso, Chile, 2007; and French Alliance, Quito, Ecuador, 2013; his theoretical-practical course oriented to modern forms, introductory to the philosophical thesis on audio-visual art by Gilles Deleuze.
