This week Raphael and Jacinta are loquacious about Love. In a world obsessed with the language OF love, they discover that there isn’t much of a language FOR love. Nothing seems to have been done about this since the days of the Ancient Greeks, so they turn to them for some much needed guidance. From self love (philautia) to lust (eros), via obsession (mania) and long term commitment (pragma), they unpick the eight types of love, applying them to sexual relationships both past and present.
As thorough as the Ancient Greeks were, it looks like Aphrodite should have taught them a few more things, instead of letting her son (Eros) run wild with his bow and arrow! (Fans of that joke can also look forward to episode M!) This week, love is in the air - or the soundwaves, at least.
