Do’s and Don’ts as a client

Today’s episode I discuss the don’ts as a client and giving the why you shouldn’t which in turn will support the antagonist of what you should do. These are the top 5 that made it on to my list, but I’m sure there are other acts of courtesy that could be listed. Do you have any that I missed? Email me at Andy@TVFphotos.com and let me know!

Don’t be late. Well as a first be respectful of people’s time. Believe it or not, your image capturing pro might have other obligations to fulfill! In addition, most image capturing pros have thought out strategically when is the optimal time to capture your images, so really this is where you assist in capturing the best look!

No punches below the belt…well don’t low ball the asking price. Prices of capturing your images may seem steep, but there are many things to consider on the other side of things. Remember more than likely you hired a professional, and not a hobbyist. The professional has much to cover to make ends meet so they can pay bills and put meals on the table. They have to pay for fuel for their mode of transportation, the upkeep on said method of travel. Then there is the things you don’t normally see.....

Don’t rush the process, patience pays off and that couldn’t be any more true in this case. Remember, the person you hired, is a person too. They have obligations such as child care, adult care or other life commitments. Hopefully your image capturing pro will detail when you should expect your images, if not before booking make a that a question worth presenting before.....

Filters! Filters are filthy! I’m putting on my mouth filter for this one, pun intended. Your photographer or videographer has developed skills to add certain colors or tones and the tools to see if an image is properly exposed. So why would you add a filter from Instagram or Facebook? Filters work great for images captured with a cellphone and not edited beyond that!

Lastly, end credits...well give credit to your photographer or videographer. It's the right thing to do and there are a few perks that come along with it.
