Description

Whether you stay in momentum, or not, do it on purpose.

We gain momentum in life in lots of areas like exercising, a morning routine, journaling... and this momentum looks like consistency. It looks like showing up routinely. It looks like progress. But at some point, life will happen and we will reprioritize our actions. Maybe we get sick, or work requires more focus for a few months... That's okay.

Breaking momentum is okay. But if you've been there before, you might have experienced how difficult it can be to get *back into* momentum.

This episode dives into the energy behind momentum, the benefits of momentum, but also the realistic aspect that sometimes we simply need to stop.

We start this episode with a story and end with some tangible tips and fresh perspectives.

What tends to happen when we break our momentum is that *starting* again demands a lot more energy... and can quickly lead to overthinking. What once was a routine part of our life is now something that consumes a lot of our thoughts. Maybe you question if the morning routine you had been doing is really the right one for you... maybe you wonder if you might have more fun with a different exercise routine...

These questions can lead us to an impactful pivot point, but not if we let overthinking paralyze us.

By the end of this episode, you'll feel more empowered to purposefully stay in momentum, or not, and recognize overthinking as it's happening so that you're able to take back your control and act accordingly.

Enjoy!
