In Episode 6, we will discuss two oral arguments before the Supreme Court of the United States, Uzuegbunam v. Preczewski and AMG Capital Management, LLC v. FTC, and one before the Seventh Circuit, Platinum Supplemental Insurance v. Guarantee Trust Life Insurance.
Uzuegbunam deals with our old friend standing and whether nominal damages are sufficient to support Article III standing for a constitutional violation.
AMG Capital Management, LLC is an important case for the textual means of statutory interpretation and deals with whether the Federal Trade Commission can seek restitution in federal court.
Platinum Supplemental concerns means of contract interpretation and what sources can be used to interpret a term that is unambiguous.
