Pat's passion for running is incomparable. His 9-5 involves working as a physio specialising in treating runners, when he's not in the clinic he's covering some incredible distances through the trails on his feet or hosting his podcast 'That's Running'. Pat is a talented athlete who has inspired many with his enthusiasm and commitment. We thought we'd catch up with him to chat about our favourite topic – running (of course)!!       

We covered lots in our conversation, firstly delving into Pat's UTA100 experience where we got an insight into coping strategies for when things don't go to plan. Pat has a very interesting philosophy on running and its worth taking note. We speak about Pat's upcoming races, injury management, chronic vs acute training load, weekly training scheduling and structure.      

Pat speaks on his thoughts around strength training and how he prioritises it around the rest of his running volume.      

We also got to ask Pat about his involvement with Pledge for the Planet as well as his new partnership with ASICS since their launch of the recycled shoe.
