Blake Withers; sports podiatrist, clinical educator, researcher, podcaster and triathlete joined us to chat the science on orthotics, toe yoga and footwear.  
We couldn’t really have anyone more qualified to chat about feet and footwear so listen closely, we think you’ll learn a lot from this conversation. We defined terms and simplified some often misunderstood concepts. Blake is great at applying the most recent evidence into practical scenarios and is passionate about teasing out every last detail when it comes to running literature.  
We unpack some of the myths around foot weakness and orthotics, suitable foot types, motion control and weight shift. Blake speaks on ‘Toe Yoga’ and we are reminded again how important it is to view running trends with a skeptical eye. Of course our favourite topic was discussed, footwear! Pitch, stack height, stiffness, toe box shape and more were dissected.
