As a runner tendon pain or tendinopathy can totally detail a race prep, ruin our running progress and leave us watching on the sidelines whilst our injury free friends and competition power on.
In any sport, injury is part and parcel, I believe set back give us opportunity to learn, grow and come back stronger. Whilst we can still approach injury with this curious mindset, knowing the basic principals around tendon pathophysiology, risk reduction and rehab can be totally life changing!
There's quite a few simple things we can implement into our daily and weekly running routine to run smarter, reduce our injury risk and over be a stronger performing runner.
