Today we were lucky enough to chat with men's mental health advocate and founder of the 2520 Movement, Shay Hare. Shay has pledged to run 2520km in 2021 to raise funds for the non-for-profit Mentoring Men Australia program. The 2520 Movement name originated from the statistic that approx. 2520 men in Australia take their lives every year. Shay aims to breakdown the stigma around mental health and raise awareness about this horrifying static. Mentoring Men, is an Australian non-profit organisation that provides life guidance and support through a free one-on-one mentoring program for men. Mentoring Men is run by volunteers and has a mission to 'support men in their life journey'. You can find out more on their website at https://mentoringmen.org.au/ . Be sure to listen to this one folks, hear about what it takes to run 2520km in a year and why Shay felt so inspired to start this initiative.
