Arthur/Ka‘uhane has been a Community Relations Specialist since March 1994 and coordinates and conducts the educational tours and outreach programs for BWS. Outside the responsibilities of his career, Arthur is a native Hawaiian cultural practitioner. His interest lies in perpetuating the Hawaiian language. He has a passion in learning and performing the art of hula. He is an executive officer with the Royal Order of Kamehameha. He also is a member and trustee of Honolulu’s historic Kawaiaha‘o Church. Arthur attempts to live life by weaving the various aspects of his personal interests and professional life to perpetuate Hawaiian language, culture, and traditions. As an island people, we hold the key in how to live, survive and thrive in our world’s environment and take responsibility to care for all our natural resources.
