DULY NOTED: As was widely expected, President Macron has emerged as the frontrunner in the race for President of France. According to exit polls on Sunday, the incumbent had won 28.3 percent compared to 23.6 percent for Marine Le Pen. However, the second round on April 24 is not considered to be a foregone conclusion.
