Alex is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and EMDR therapist. She manages Sullivan & Associates, a private practice which was founded several years ago by Dr Judith Sullivan. The practice offers therapeutic services to individual clients and organisations. Alex have been practicing as a therapist for twenty years. In the past she have also worked in the education sector and then in the Probation and prison service for over ten years. Alex and I have known each other for a long time, so it was a delight to finally get her on an episode. You'll hear about the value of supervision and Alex's professional journey with developing her resilience in the role. You'll also hear the our issues with the tech! There were a couple of time where we had internet problems, and I could have edited all of these out but there is something so authentic about it, so I kept them in! Enjoy!
I'm taking a summer break from my podcast to focus on developing my new supervision venture - 'Supervision Institute', so it was interesting to hear how much supervision has meant to Alex in terms of her professional resilience. I'll be back soon!
