Description

Naomi Schleifer teaches about how to make sambucol syrup and its health benefits. 

Recipe:

½ cup dried elderberries

½ cup dried rose hips

2 tablespoons cinnamon chips

6 dried whole cloves

1 inch chunk fresh ginger, peeled, grated/minced

2 ½ cups filtered water

½-1 cup raw honey*, preferably local or biodynamic

Directions:

1. Bring to boil, watch closely!

2. Then turn down to very low simmer with the lid on for 45 minutes. Let cool before draining. 

3. Use a bowl and fine mesh strainer and pour through slowly and push berries down with the back of a spoon to get out the goodness! Store in a glass jar only in fridge for 3 months
