Our second foray into giant monster movies finds us jumping to the Heisei era for the rebirth of Gamera in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, 15 years after the end of the original series. Here we find Gamera fighting Gyaos yet again but with all new backstory and science fiction mumbo jumbo; we talk about the film's penchant for delivering a lot of science talk, its lackluster special effects that vary from guys in suits to plastic action figure-like appearances, the unnecessary romance, and a lot more!
