This week Pastor Steve and Steffanie Haney kicked off our JOY series. They talked about the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is a feeling dependent on external circumstances and whether or not our expectations are being met. Joy is being present to Jesus. Therefore since Jesus is the essence of the Gospel or good news then wherever the Gospel goes you can find joy. Steve and Steffanie challenged us to reach out during the Holidays and in doing so we would find Joy. “He who refreshes others will themselves be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
