In Matthew 10, Jesus sent his disciples on a mission. They were to announce the coming Kingdom of God to the towns of Israel, heal the sick, and cast out demons. Throughout most of the chapter, Jesus warns that they will face stiff opposition from religious leaders, government officials, and their own families.
