Today, there are growing negative biases towards people who are introverted by nature and advocates advise that there is a need to shift the narrative and recognise that introverts bring much dynamism to the table as good listeners, analysts and Out of The Box thinkers.
Understanding the differences distinguishing introversion and social anxiety is critical to harnessing the skill-set and communication styles of introverts.
Furthermore, the biases placed on genders can further hinder the abilities of introverts to Thrive in a world which celebrates extroversion. It is therefore necessary to create an atmosphere of belonging which is crucial in a neuro-divergent setting from the classroom to the workplace.
