Out of Sally’s mouth directly. No prodding on my part whatsoever •••. That child did her level best in that moment to say “something - anything” that she even thought would or might come close to what dad wanted / needed to hear. So she could maintain her relationship with him - please him - so she wouldn’t risk loosing his love and adoration. And she (Sally) totally hit the nail in the head! Dad loved hearing that mom sucked! Hell grandma, too!! Delighting in thinking his daughter could and would be just like him someday. That’s so jacked up. Leave children out of your misery - the misery YOU created.
