In this shiur we discuss the second Beracha before Keriat Shema, known to the Sephardim as Ahavat Olam, and Ahava Rabah to the Ashkenazim. We look at the early history of the Beracha, certain unusual claims regarding it's authorship, and the concepts of Ahavat Hashem that are relevant to the Tefilah.
