Known in basketball circles as “Lady Magic", Nancy Lieberman is arguably one of the greatest basketball players ever.

The Brooklyn native spent much of childhood learning about life and basketball at the infamous Rucker Park in New York City.  To say that the game has been good to her is definitely understatement.

Lieberman's basketball accomplishments include:

• Two national championships at Old Dominion University
  
• A silver medal at the 1976 Olympics and
  
• She played in the WNBA two separate times at the ages of 39 and made her return at the age of 50
  
• She has the distinction of being a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
  
• Formerly coached in WNBA and became the first woman to ever coach in a men’s professional league when she was the head coach of the Texas Legends in the NBA G League
  
• Was an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings of the NBA
  
• Won a championship as a head coach in Ice Cube's Big 3 basketball league.
  

Another significant component to her story is the relationship that she formed with former boxing heavyweight champ, Muhammad Ali whom she met as a young teen.

The brash and audacious boxer took Lieberman under his wing and taught her about life, philanthropy,  competition and racism.  Their friendship span over a 40 years until the last days of his life.
