The nicest thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side.
Getting everyone on your side is, of course, the challenge.
It means:
Getting everyone moving forward together.
Getting everyone on the same page.
Getting to know each other and your roles.
Getting Clarity on what your priorities and goals are.
The team Creates because they Innovate as they Collaborate because they Initiate from the place where they Coordinate because you Cultivate the team culture.
The last one is the first.
Building team culture goes beyond doing nice activities and superficial discussions.
Team culture is the way they play together.
The way they play together, meaning they need to know themselves as individuals, and then they need to know each other. then, they need to agree on what they know about their organization.
Being entertained and enjoying bonding time together is important. Having ‘breaking of bread’ sharing times is vitally necessary. Collaborating on projects is critical.
But where does it all start?

The way a team plays as a whole determines success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime.
Communication at team level cultivates and builds team culture.
Team culture cannot be found or built with activity.
It can be cultivated and enhanced with team activities.
But true collaborative and creative team culture must be developed from a new mindset inspired by self-awareness and other-awareness.
Team culture is not an initiative. Team culture is the enabler of all team initiatives.
