The leader builds team and organizational high performance culture on purpose and by design.
Culture not driven by the leader on purpose and by design will be a culture by default – it designs itself, and when it does you are taking a risk, and then it usually gravitates to the worst behavior you, as a leader, are willing to tolerate.
Culture is designed by the leadership determining the values that are important, living those values, and purposefully modelling those values.
When you do, everyone knows how to behave internally and externally – it’s how we do things around here – towards each other, in their roles, in their client interactions.
