Second, failure in medical school that forced him to re-evaluate his career path - and double down on it time and time again.
Dr. Kandula proclaims to be "king of the losers" for finding his way to success through failing time and time again, but he wears that crown with pride. Without being knocked down, he'd never have known that getting back up was the most important thing to do.
