Portia Uwera is a lawyer. She is also the co-founder of Because of Her, an initiative made to educate and inspire the Ugandan girl. They aim to focus on feminist education by highlighting the works of Ugandan women who have broken barriers and opened the doors for fellow Ugandan women in all the different spheres of life. The Initiative also aims to educate Ugandan children about the different roles and histories of Ugandan women as a whole.
