The initial discovery was in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd boy. Over the next several years a total of 980 texts, consisting of 30,000+ fragments were discovered in various caves at Qumran. The texts are not al Biblical, but every OT Book but Esther was found. These date from about 300 BC-68 AD. The famous Isaiah Scroll is housed at the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem. It gives a tremendous testimony to the veracity of Scripture, the ability of scribes to perfectly preserve a text for a millennium. God bless you today!
