This week's episode is so powerful! I love this conversation with Inés Franklin so much! We talk about the power of a praying Abuelita, which we both were so blessed to have in our lives. She goes on to tell me that she did not begin to truly follow Jesus until she was 40. She talks about walking through the immense amount of shame she had after having 2 abortions and 2 divorces, and then having an affair with her boss that led to the end of his marriage. She is an amazing woman who is not afraid to share the good, the bad and the ugly of her story because she knows and trusts in the redemptive work of the cross. I pray this episode will not only encourage you in your faith walk or lead you to begin your walk, but also to let God redeem your ugly places so they can become beautiful markers of His grace and mercy.

Inés Franklin completed a Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary and is the founder of Trochia Ministries, whose missions is to provide Christian discipleship. She serves as a teaching pastor at Mariners Church in Southern California. She and her husband, James Franklin, live in Irvine, California.
