Description

I am so excited about today's episode! I got to hang out with my friend, Mikella Van Dyke, whose new book and Bible study, Chasing Sacred, releases today. Mikella shares her incredible journey from growing up as a missionary kid in Thailand, where her family was dedicated to Bible translation, to her early years as a ballet dancer, and how she found her identity in dance. But when marriage, pregnancy and life changes brought an unexpected halt to her dancing career, Mikella turned to Scripture, where she rediscovered her true identity as a child of God.

This shift led her to start the Chasing Sacred ministry, which began as a simple email devotional sent to family members and has now become into a full-fledged ministry and series of devotionals and books. Mikella’s work is centered on the Inductive Bible study method, which encourages deep, personal engagement with the Scriptures. She also emphasizes the value of studying the Bible through multiple translations to gain a more comprehensive understanding of God’s Word.

Join us as Mikella discusses the freedom she found in identifying not with what she does, but with who she is in Christ. We delve into her heart for ministry, her passion for the Bible, and how she hopes Chasing Sacred will inspire others to deepen their own faith journeys.
