Today on my longest episode yet my panel and I discussed black Regina Georges, race play, slave play, Insecure, Lisa Landry, Damsel in Distress, Olivia Pope, the funny black girl, the Princess and the Frog, New Girl, the Boondocks, plus much more but surprisingly no Beyonce. Basically a major dive into Black Women in modern media! Enjoy! 

Iris is a public servant who is committed to improving the lives of Black women and Femmes. She’s the feds and she’s also anti-misogyny, anti-racist, anti-fatphobic, anti-homophobia, and more. When she’s not discussing the problems of the system and/or actively dismantling it - you can find her at the beach, with family and friends, or planning her next vacation.

Haley Magwood, J.D. is a current second-year Master Student at Harvard University. Haley studies Human Development and Psychology with a goal to create and implement trauma-informed and "resilience lawyering" techniques to legal practice. In both her personal and professional life, Haley defends women and children against violence and likes to discuss black motherhood and the black family.

Saharra Dixon is a Certified Health Education Specialist, Community-engaged Theatre Artist, director, writer, Arts & Health specialist, & Public Health PhD student. She is passionate about Black Women's health and wellness, having founded an Arts and Health Collective @SoulCircleArts, that seeks to create brave spaces for Women and Girls of Color to explore health and wellness through artistic and creative expression. She's excited to be on the Not So Random podcast and hear everyone's hot-takes! ;)
