Description

Bryn Morgan works as a drama therapist for ‘The Jacob Abraham Foundation’, set up in 2015, following Jacob Abraham’s passing by suicide.
The foundation aims to help prevent suicide through direct intervention with vulnerable people, raise awareness on mental health/suicide issues, promote positive mental health and support people bereaved through suicide in South Wales.

They provide intervention, prevention and postvention support for people struggling with suicidal thoughts, or been affected by suicide.

Bryn discusses why it’s important to abolish the stigma and taboo, particularly amongst young men, the work the charity is involved in, and some knowledge nuggets towards the end into research surrounding death, staying rooted/grounded in his practice, and advice for anybody looking at getting involved in this profession, why it’s important to look after yourself fundamentally.
