Primeira Aparição do Anjo (provavelmente em março/1916). Francisco e Jacinta Marto, primos de Lúcia, também começaram a cuidar do rebanho de suas Famílias. Combinaram, então, pastorear os seus rebanhos nas propriedades dos seus familiares. Um belo dia eles foram com suas ovelhinhas para uma propriedade dos pais de Lúcia que fica ao fundo do monte Cabeço voltado para o nascente. Aí pelo meio da manhã, começou a cair uma fina. Subiram a encosta do monte, seguidos pelas suas ovelhinhas, para procurar uma Gruta para se abrigarem da chuva. Dentro da gruta, comeram então o lanche e começaram a rezar o Terço. Terminado o Terço, começaram a jogar o jogo de pedrinhas. Depois de alguns momentos que começaram a jogar, e eis que um vento forte sacode as árvores fazendo com que os 3 Pastorzinhos parassem de brincar para ver o estava acontecendo, pois o dia estava sereno e calmo com muito sol. Viram então, que sobre a plantação de oliveiras se encaminhava para eles a tal figura que Lúcia tinha visto anteriormente. A Jacinta e o Francisco ainda nunca a tinham visto, nem Lúcia tinha falado a eles desta figura. À maneira que a figura se aproximava, os 3 Pastorzinhos começaram a ver, com nitidez, as suas feições: um jovem dos seus 14 a 15 anos, mais branco como se fosse de neve, que o os raios do sol tornava transparente, parecendo de cristal e de uma grande beleza. Ao chegar junto dos três, disse: – Não temais! Sou o Anjo da Paz. Orai comigo. E ajoelhando em terra, curvou a sua fronte até ao chão e pediu para os 3 Pastorzinhos repetirem três vezes estas palavras: – Meu Deus! Eu creio, adoro, espero e amo-Vos. Peço-Vos perdão para os que não crêem, não adoram, não esperam e Vos não amam. Depois, erguendo-se, disse: – Orai assim. Os Corações de Jesus e Maria estão atentos à voz das vossas súplicas. Depois, desapareceu.
First Apparition of the Angel (probably in March / 1916). Francisco and Jacinta Marto, Lúcia's cousins, also started to take care of their Families' flock. They then agreed to shepherd their flocks on their relatives' properties. One fine day they went with their sheep to a property owned by Lúcia's parents which is at the bottom of Mount Cabeço facing the spring. Around mid-morning, a fine began to fall. They went up the slope of the hill, followed by their sheep, to find a cave to shelter from the rain. After the 3 Little Shepherds reached the slope of the mountain they entered the Grotto. The 3 Little Shepherds spent the day in this cave. Then they ate their lunch and began to say the Rosary. When the Rosary was over, they began to play the game of stones. After a few moments that started to play, and behold, a strong wind shakes the trees making the 3 Little Shepherds stop playing to see what was happening, because the day was serene and calm with a lot of sun. They saw then, that on the olive plantation the figure that Lúcia had seen before was going to them. Jacinta and Francisco had never seen her yet, nor did Lúcia tell them about this figure. As the figure approached, the 3 Little Shepherds began to see their features clearly: a young man from 14 to 15 years old, whiter as if it were snow, which the rays of the sun made transparent, looking like crystal and great beauty. When he arrived at the three, he said: - Don't be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me. And kneeling on the ground, he bowed his forehead to the ground and asked the 3 Little Shepherds to repeat these words three times: - My God! I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You. I ask your forgiveness for those who do not believe, do not worship, do not expect and do not love You. Then, rising, he said: - Pray like this. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your pleas. Then disappeared.
