Deus olhou para o mundo com bondade e misericórdia no silêncio da Cova da Iria em Portugal.
As Aparições da Virgem Maria em Fátima - com a sua mensagem - podem ser entendidas como uma intervenção de Deus para manifestar e assegurar aos fiéis que o coração de Deus não está insensível às nossas vulnerabilidades, às nossas dores e ao grito de socorro diante da devastação do pecado destruidor e o sofrimento do mundo e da Igreja.
Na mensagem de Fátima, a angústia da Humanidade e o pecado não deixam Deus indiferente.
Por isso, do princípio ao fim, o núcleo da mensagem de Fátima está no convite urgente a reconduzir a humanidade para o centro da vida cristã e a adoração de Deus, único Senhor da História, o reconhecimento da primazia de Deus, aceitando a vontade salvadora deste mesmo Deus, o convite em acender em cada coração o desejo de amor a Deus e estimular o exercício do amor reparador.
