A Ressurreição de Cristo constitui, antes de mais, a confirmação de tudo quanto Cristo em pessoa fez e ensinou. Todas as verdades, mesmo as mais inacessíveis ao espírito humano, encontram a sua justificação se, ressuscitando, Cristo deu a prova definitiva, que tinha prometido, da sua autoridade divina. Doravante, Cristo está sentado à direita do Pai: «Por direita do Pai entendemos a glória e a honra da divindade, em cujo seio Aquele que, antes de todos os séculos, existia como Filho de Deus, como Deus e consubstancial ao Pai, tomou assento corporalmente desde que encarnou e o seu corpo foi glorificado.
The Resurrection of Christ is, first of all, the confirmation of all that Christ himself did and taught. All truths, even the most inaccessible to the human spirit, find their justification if, by resurrecting, Christ gave the definitive proof, which he had promised, of his divine authority. Henceforth, Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father: “By the right hand of the Father we understand the glory and honor of divinity, in whose bosom He who, before all ages, existed as the Son of God, as God and as a substance to the Father, took body sitting since he incarnated and his body was glorified.
