At the age of 12, Krystal went through the loss of her mom, who passed away after a long battle with cancer. Her dad was then faced with the reality of raising two girls on his own. Krystal remembers how challenging it was for her dad to help her cope with the loss of her mom while grieving himself, and she's grateful to him for how he raised her and her sister with love, kindness, and a whole lot of laughter!
