In the first episode of our new Marathon Minute Expert & Leaders subseries, we feature an insightful and engaging conversation with board certified adult and child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Kali Hobson. Though only 33, Dr. Hobson is breaking barriers as she is the first Black woman child and adolescent psychiatrist in the state of Oregon. In the current climate of society and in the midst of a global pandemic, now more than ever the importance of health and wellness have become quite clear. Though Kali works primarily with children and adolescents currently, she provides a wealth of knowledge on the entirety of mental health and the need to prioritize it no matter who you are.
