We are back and with a very special episode this week featuring Eryk Williamson! Eryk is a 24 year old professional soccer player and friend of the show, having spent time playing with Max with Timbers2. Episode 23 was recorded back in February but drops less than a day after Eryk makes his return to MLS play with the Portland Timbers, completing his comeback after sustaining a torn ACL that ended his 2021 season. Eryk had a breakout year in 2020 with the Timbers first team and established himself as a mainstay, also getting called in to camps with the United States Men's National Team. The trio talk about Eryk's patience and making the most of his opportunities, how he found out he was starting in the Gold Cup final, his mentality in returning from his first major injury, and what he has his sights on with his comeback.
