Yielding to God’s Plan
Smith Wigglesworth Devotional Review
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
—2 Corinthians 1:5
Scripture reading: 1 Corinthians 12:12–27
1. It is in the hard places where we see no help that we cry out to God. If I got into sin because of my own mistake or even because of someone's influence, God in His goodness will deliver me, and He delivers me so that I can help the tempted.
2. Even when I suffer persecution for Christ, God Himself comforts me, and because He comforted me, I can also comfort others from what He told me when He comforted me
3. As a community of believers, we can comfort one another through our testimonies. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Revelations 12:11)
4. We are members of one another. When God's breath is upon us and we are quickened by the Holy Spirit, we can pour into each other wonderful ministries of grace and helpfulness.
Today's quote : "We need a strong ministry of consolation, not deterioration or living below our privileges."
