Characteristics of the poor in spirit
1. The poor in spirit know that without God it is impossible but that with Him all things are possible
2. The poor in spirit identify with Christ, they know that all He has is theirs
3. The poor in spirit focus on things above, not earthly things, on spiritual things, not physical things
