Description

Do therapists go to therapy? Can someone go into the mental health field if they have a mental health diagnosis? Do therapists really use the coping skills they teach in session? In today's episode of Psych Talk I talk all about therapists being human. I address some of the common questions or concerns I hear on social media regarding therapists and becoming a therapist, as well as discuss the human side of therapists. At the end of the day, therapists are just like you. We go to therapy, we make mistakes, we have our own struggles, we grieve, and we have a life outside our job as therapists. My hope for this episode is that it humanizes therapists, gives clients insight into the human side of their therapist, and makes fellow therapists feel less alone.
